About Page Components
The primary page components for each page in the Dayforce Identity Access Management (IAM) product include the navigation panel, tool bar, and task pane.

Located in the upper left corner of the page, the navigation area contains icons used to:
- Open a menu of the services and features available in Identity Access Management. The Help refers to this menu as the navigation panel.
- Pin or unpin the navigation panel to the page.
The menu button ():
- Allows you to access the navigation panel from any Identity Access Management page.
- Displays a menu of all services and features available to the user.
Tip: When you log in to Identity Access Management, by default, the navigation panel is hidden (unpinned). When hidden, to open the navigation panel , click the menu button. To close it, click the menu button again.
To navigate to a specific option, do this:
- On any page, in the navigation area, click the menu button.
The navigation panel opens:
If you are a Customer Admin, you can click the Search option to search for an organization.

When you click an option on the navigation panel:
- If no secondary menu options exist, the page associated with the option you selected opens.
- If secondary menu options exist, a list of options appear as shown in the example below:
- When you click a secondary menu page, the page associated with the page you select opens.
On display screens with a horizontal resolution of at least 1230 pixels, you can use the Pin (Show) icon () to pin the navigation panel so that it always appears on the left side of the page. When the navigation panel is pinned, the Unpinned (Hide) icon () appears in the navigation area. The navigation panel will continue to display until you unpin it. To unpin (hide) the navigation panel, click .
Located in the upper right corner of each page, the tool bar includes icons used to perform additional tasks.
Example
The Help icon () opens the Help for the Identity Access Management product.
To open the Help and navigate to a specific Help topic, do this:
- On any page, in the task bar, click .
The Welcome page appears, and in the navigation panel on the left of the page, the Help Table of Contents (TOC) appears.
- To navigate to a Help topic, do one of the following:
- On the Welcome page, click the hyperlink to a topic.
- In the TOC, locate and click a topic.
The System Details icon () displays all of the following information.
Information | Description |

The Dayforce Logo | The standard Dayforce logo always appears at the top of this section. |
Picture and user name | The user's picture and name.
Note: If you don't add a picture, a picture placeholder appears. |
Logout button | Close the product and return to the Sign In page.

The task pane is the section of the page that displays the page content. You use this section to review page information or perform a task on the page.
